THE CITY TALK

COULD YOU DESCRIBE SÃO PAULO IN A FEW WORDS?
São Paulo is the city that never stops, right? The nightclubs, the restaurants, the gyms, etc… Everything goes on and on. When you go to Paris or New York, at some point, things stop. Here I could go to D-Edge at 5am and leave at 11am if I wanted to. In other cites you won't find a lot of good restaurants that accept to taking orders after 10pm. In São Paulo I love to go to Gero and if I decide I am hungry at midnight, they will serve me at midnight. But at the same time it is a city in which people work a lot, so we don't really have time to enjoy our friends and I feel sorry for myself not being able to see them more often or simply have more time for myself.

WHAT IS INSPIRING TO YOU IN SÃO PAULO? DO YOU FEEL THIS GREY PALETTE IS WORKING LIKE A CLEAR CANVAS FOR YOU TO BE ABLE TO CREATE?
Mostly because I have no time to get out of the office, but I love looking through my window where I have a lot of green plants and never really see the grey palette so much. But my secret is not about a physical place, it is about a mental one. I meditate everyday and it doesn't matter where I am. Sometimes I’ll do it at the office for 7 minutes, sometimes like every Monday I’ll go to Espaço Una where I do a two hours Deeksha meditation session after work. I really look forward to these moments. I guess it is very different from Rio where you are always 10 steps from the nature.

IT IS VERY TRUE. I WAS ABOUT TO ASK YOU WHERE WAS THE PLACE YOU WOULD GO TO WHEN YOU NEEDED TO TAKE A BREAK BUT THEN I GUESS YOU JUST ANSWERED.

WHAT IS A TYPICAL WEEK-END IN SÃO PAULO IN ORDER TO GET THE BEST VIBE OF THE CITY?
It is bizarre because I work a lot and travel a lot so when I am here and I don't have to work on the week-end, I love to stay home and read. Right now I am reading Rita Lee's biography which is amazing! Sometimes I go to exhibitions or I just put some sneakers on and walk from Jardins where I live to the Ibirapuera park. That is what I really love doing in São Paulo (laughs).
