DESCRIBE PARIS IN ONE WORD.

Paris is home. Even if I love to travel, Paris is the city I love to go back to. And it is so pretty. I love my neighborhood, the 18th. It is full of life, full of people. Paris is also living up to its clichés: it is all about smoking, terraces, cheese and good wine. And I love that about Paris.

IT IS WHAT I MISS THE MOST LIVING IN BRAZIL.
Yes I missed that a lot when I was living in San Francisco. Somehow no one else manages to replicate the cheese and bread we have here!


YOUR SECRET PLACE IN PARIS?
My neighborhood! It is not secret but it is where I feel the best at. I love to go to this small restaurant called Thu thu which serves the best food. Another place I feel amazing at is when I go to my osteopath – a mix between a physical and mind therapist. His name is Alain, and he is magic. Another weird place I like are dry-cleaners. I have no idea why! Maybe the fact that it participates in keeping the neighborhood alive.

I KNOW EXACTLY WHAT YOU MEAN. I LOVE THAT IT IS SO COMMON TO HAVE SMALL SHOPS AND INDEPENDENT SHOPKEEPERS ALL AROUND IN PARIS. YOU GET A REAL SENSE OF COMMUNITY FOR THE NEIGHBORHOOD.
Exactly. I love my hood, Jules Joffrin. It makes me feel safe. It has a human face and feels very comforting.

WHAT IS A TYPICAL NIGHT OUT WITH YOUR GIRLFRIENDS LIKE?
We like to keep it simple. We don’t need to go to the new fashionable spots to have a good night out. Usually we first choose a restaurant to meet at. So I would often go on Le Fooding to check on cool places to try out. After dinner if I feel like silly dancing, I go to “le soleil de la butte”. I like easy going places. I get lazy now to produce myself for a “night out” like I used to.

WHERE’S YOUR FAVORITE SPOT TO GET AWAY FROM PARIS?
When I need a break I take my phone, screen the Instagram of my friends who live abroad and pick up a place (laughs). My last trip was actually in Martinique where my best friend lives. It is the best way to travel.
